3rd Degree Charters: Branding for a Key West Legacy
Paulie, a 5th generation Conch, and I go way back – we were friends long before I started my design career or he even dreamed up the 3rd Degree Charters name. But even back then, he was already exploring the waters of the Lower Keys, building the expertise that would shape his business. So when he decided to go full time with 3rd Degree Charters, I was thrilled to help him create a brand that reflected his passion and local knowledge. Let’s dive in…

Project Description
3rd Degree Charters was a complete brand building project, from the logo to the website. We crafted a versatile logo system, a vibrant color palette, eye-catching apparel, and even a boat wrap (still in progress, Paulie!). But what truly sets 3rd Degree Charters apart is Paulie himself. He’s a Key West born-and-raised captain with a deep love for these waters. That’s why we created the tagline ‘Key West Born – Ocean Raised’ – it captures his local knowledge, responsible practices, and the unique, relaxed experience he offers. And of course, we built a website (3rddegreecharters.com) that showcases all of this with stunning imagery and a focus on personal connection. No online booking here – Paulie prefers to chat with his clients directly, ensuring they choose the perfect trip. Business cards, social media graphics, and a cloud-based asset library round out this comprehensive branding package. Scroll down to see the details!
Seth made the process of rebranding our business very simple for me. He came up with designs to rebrand our business logos (which are awesome). Then he created our first ever website, for the business. He created options for how we wanted to proceed and he made sure that we had plenty of input as far as content
